After scaling Mount Kilimanjaro, Matthew Clough learned that his porter, who had been by his side all along, lacked the income to send a child to school.
The design-lover took to the drawing board and created a backpack named “Benson” (named after the porter) which became the flagship product of Stone + Cloth.
In partnership with The Knock Foundation, the California-based brand peddles adventure-ready rucksacks and totes to help provide scholarships to children in need.
“More than 130 million school aged children don’t have access to basic education, and a secondary graduate is 7x more likely to secure paid employment over those who left early”, says Matt.
“It’s our goal to help students create a brighter future for themselves and others through the gift of education.”
