NAJA women's underwear combine a love for beautifully designed things, a bit of rebelliousness & a desire to make the world a better place.
Naja info is an eco-conscious lingerie brand with purpose that came about as a product of passions and beliefs – a love for beautifully designed things and a deep desire to make the world a better place. The brand is dedicated to changing the lives of women.
Founder, Catalina Girald, wanted to create a brand that empowered women instead of objectifying them. Naja primarily employs single mothers or head of households where they are paid above the market wage with health care benefits. Girald chose single mothers as many have to chose between work and caring for their children.
Girald implemented flexible working policies to make it easier for these women to balance work and family. Every child of a Naja garment worker receives books, school supplies, uniforms and all school meals paid for by Naja. The company employs women in the slums of Columbia, to make lingerie bags that are offered with each Naja purchase. It allows these women who would otherwise struggle for employment opportunities to work from home and become their own ‘micro entrepreneurs’. 2% of Naja’s revenue is donated to local charities that provide continuing education to these women. With every Naja purchase you can feel good contributing to bettering another woman’s life and that of her family.
